Discover Young Hackney
Paint the Change teamed up with Hackney Council in Summer 2019 to take part in the Discover Young Hackney Festival – helping to explore issues close to young Hackney youth and giving them free artistic reign on the walls of Westgate Street by Netil Market.
In partnership with the talented Guido Palmadessa, we worked on-site to create a mural celebrating the diversity of Hackney’s young people, taking pride in their creativity and symbolising the positivity and growth that can come from a strong community. In the mural, we even included the portraits of some young Hackney residents that participated in our workshops.
